Through a 13 puzzle + meta series of games, they learned that the q̦̙͈̬͊͊͋ͭu̷̞̹̙͉e̪̼͖̺͑̃̂ḙ͇͕ͩn̰͖̞̩͔̬͛ͮd̬̙͕͊̏͛̓̀̇e̙̤͎ͫ̿i̴̤̱͕̖̹̮̪̅̄t͖͖͆̄̌̎̀̉͊y̯̤̌m̷̲̥̞̖͎͓ͅo̶͎͗t̠͓̞̫̗̥̏̄̐̀̍̌h͛̍ͦ̌͏̫̥̖e̶̼͔͎̪ͫ̇̆̋ͥr͈͚̺̲͛ͦ was not retiring after all. Instead, every several millennia she devours lesser beings of power to recharge herself. Through a series of plot twists, it was revealed that in order to save both themselves and the multiverse, they would have to devour the mortal projection of the q̦̙͈̬͊͊͋ͭu̷̞̹̙͉e̪̼͖̺͑̃̂ḙ͇͕ͩn̰͖̞̩͔̬͛ͮd̬̙͕͊̏͛̓̀̇e̙̤͎ͫ̿i̴̤̱͕̖̹̮̪̅̄t͖͖͆̄̌̎̀̉͊y̯̤̌m̷̲̥̞̖͎͓ͅo̶͎͗t̠͓̞̫̗̥̏̄̐̀̍̌h͛̍ͦ̌͏̫̥̖e̶̼͔͎̪ͫ̇̆̋ͥr͈͚̺̲͛ͦ, which was secretly cake.
